John Vincent Coulter, an F.B.I. agent, and his wife, Nell Husbands Martin. The agent is from Irish as well as German descent. After completing her law degree in the United States, she was a legal clerk at the United States Court of Appeals in Kansas. Following a time she decided to leave her government position to pursue a job working in New York City. In her new job she specialized in corporate law.
